nothing is as intimate as an elopement. it is completely understandable to not want a big wedding. Elopements are a great way to spend the most special day of your life catered around your relationship.
step one: decide how adventurous you want your elopement to be The first step is to ask yourself “how adventurous am I?”. Do you want to hike to the top of the mountain to say your vows? Or maybe kayak in your gown to a secret beach… Or have the ceremony 1000 feet above the ground in a hot air balloon?
If you don’t want to do anything extravagant or exotic that it is totally oKAY! Maybe the decision to Elope instead of having a big wedding is adventurous enough for you, and all you need is a simple ceremony just for two of you (and possibly a few friends or family)
STEP TWO: DECIDE WHICH ADVENTURE ELOPEMENT PACKAGE FITS YOUR needs
Now that you have decided how adventurous you want to be on “your day”, time to get to step 2 and select which Elopement package works for you.
4 hours of coverage is available to those that just want the essentials. the reason why i think 4 hours is enough, because it helps me tell your story that can be considered timeless. this is the sweet spot to capture getting ready, first look, the ceremony, and spend the rest of the time in all of your favorite locations - to get all kinds of feels. to give you an idea, this is what a four hour timeline would look like:
big sur: 7 am: Videographer to arrive at getting ready location - i capture all important details/accessories/dress/suits - everything that helps tell the story) 7:30 am - Final touch ups - bride will put on her dress. 8 am - leave for first look 8:30 AM - First look 9 AM - Ceremony 9:30 am - Family photos / a brief moment to enjoy that you just got married! 10 am - leave to scenic location choice (we spend an hour getting all the intimate and authentic content of you both!) 11 am : videographer set to depart
sometimes 4 hours is just not enough. if you want to make the most out of it, i'm all for it! every step of the way. a Epic Adventure elopement is an all day getaway documenting your wedding day. from start to finish, it is unlimited amout of locations - at any location choice that describes you both as a couple.
No matter which elopement package you will choose, we always leave some room for flexibility to customize it to your needs.
STEP THREE: CHOOSE THE LOCATION.
Now that you have chosen how much traveling and activities you want to do for your Elopement and learned about our packages, you just need to decide where you want to go. We suggest starting with simply thinking of what place would make you happy? Is it in the mountains? On a beach? In a rainforest? Is it cold or warm? Are other people included? Once you can start painting that picture for yourself, we can take it from there and help you with suggestions.

What are the next steps to plan your micro-wedding?
micro - weddings
step one: What is a micro - Wedding?
A micro wedding is a small, intimate gathering with around a guest count of 30 and less. micro weddings are perfect for those wanting to get married in their own comfort zone! it can be anywhere from a small, back yard wedding, to renting an airbnb and celebrating this special day with your loved ones.
STEP TWO: DECIDE what package works best!
Now that you have decided on a small gathering, it is time to determine how you want your day to be documented. i've learned that 4 hours/ half day coverage is perfect for capturing the essentials. if you want a little bit of getting ready, the ceremony, and the bride & groom photos - 4 hours is perfect for all important content without having a reception. Here is what your time line will look like with 4 hours of coverage. 1 PM: VIDEOGRAPHER TO ARRIVE AT GETTING READY LOCATION - I CAPTURE ALL IMPORTANT DETAILS/ACCESSORIES/DRESS/SUITS - EVERYTHING THAT HELPS TELL THE STORY)
1:30 PM - FINAL TOUCH UPS - BRIDE WILL PUT ON HER DRESS.
2 PM - LEAVE FOR FIRST LOOK
2:15 PM - FIRST LOOK
3 PM - CEREMONY
3:30 PM - FAMILY PHOTOS / A BRIEF MOMENT TO ENJOY THAT YOU JUST GOT MARRIED!
4 PM - LEAVE TO SCENIC LOCATION CHOICE (WE SPEND AN HOUR GETTING ALL THE INTIMATE AND AUTHENTIC CONTENT OF YOU BOTH!)
5 PM : VIDEOGRAPHER SET TO DEPART
if getting ready isn't as important, you can shift this coverage to the reception! your timeline would like somewhat like this:
4:30 PM : Videographer to arrive to capture ceremony details / any last minute touch ups 5:00 PM : Ceremony 5:15 PM : Ceremony Ends / Family photos 5:30 PM : Start with couple session *Depending on location, we might need to leave to travel this 7:00 PM : Grand Entrance / Dinner Annoucement 7:30 PM ; Speeches / Toasts 7:45 PM : First Dance/ Father - Daughter Dance / Mother - son Dance 8:00 PM : Bouquet / Garter tOSS, iF APPLICABLE 8:00 pm : fREE dANCE / cOUPLE INTERACTING WITH GUEST 8:30 pm : vIDEORAPHER SET TO DEPART
sometimes 4 hours is just not enough. if you want to make the most out of it, i'm all for it! every step of the way. if you are having a small gathering, full day coverage is the way to go. with full day coverage, you are not limited on time. this is from start to finish of whatever is needed to help tell your story for the day. micro-weddings are just as intimate. Most of the time, you will be doing the wedding planning all on your own. This makes the little things and small details just as important.
No matter which package you will choose, we always leave some room for flexibility to customize it to your needs.
